first wk of sch....
well...first wk of sch has gone by just like tt. it was quite an ok wk with exceptions here and there of course, this is the way life goes. finally decided on my mods and bidded for them successfully. though some were not what i wanna take in the first place. after bidding for ssb2216, i found out there's 1 vacancy left for macroecons. kinda pek cek but 1 vacancy mods are not easy to bid for. as expected, the nxt min bid went up to over 2000 pts.modeling via ode...luckily i could still stand prof bao's accent, i think he's quite detail in his lec. must go thru every single word in his ppt. sometimes it can get quite boring but i guess its gd also in another way. this mod has a night lec but i think i'll be able to endure with it since i forsee it'll be quite a practical mod, starting to see more on the application side for mathematics.financial mathematics...argh. i also fainted when i realised tt the lecturer is dr lou! he was my lecturer when i took stats 1 yr ago! he's ok except tt he always tend to go off track during lectures and you won't know what will be in the exams, what won't. he'll also just skip pg after pg and say "i'll leave it for you to read yourselves." aiyo....dr lou, you might as well leave the whole mod for us to read and study.employee management in sg...i didn't wanna take this mod intitally. but i had no other choice and since wai meng is in it too, might as well. attended the first seminar teaching on wed, quite fun and interesting. talked quite abit on employability and the companies now and before. think shld be quite useful since i'm joining the workforce soon.actuarial stats..prof brown spoke so softly in the first lecture till i almost strained my ears to death! he looks old, maybe that explains his soft and slow speaking. haa..but then, it's quite an interesting mod too! for now, it's more on what i've studied in basic financial maths last sem. think it'll be more on risk afterwards. management sci..dr melvyn is ok in some sense but i think he's quite proud. the way he speaks, reminds me of kenny...haahaa...hopefully i'll be able to endure thru his lectures and not get irritated with his character.most of the mods this sem seems quite inter-related. hopefully it'll help my studying in some way...first wk of sch seem boring huh? gonna go for some courses by career center soon, then health screening...hopefully can join climbing course too...hee
