some feelings n happenings

i got a lot of things to blog. let me see if i remember everything. some thoughts first...

saw xinyan's entry on 13 jun. she was talking abt her vocal lessons and abt the laoshi. there was this line "singing is a form of art. and ppl in art cannot be lazy. ppl in art must work very hard." i totally agree.

i was once mesmerised by the sounds tt the guitar produces, i still am now. it's lovely, soothing. it nv fails to catch my attention, esp when it's frm an acoustic guitar. i started taking guitar lessons 3 yrs back. i nv wanted a cert or anything. i just hope one day i can play a whole song properly.

but then i only completed 6 mths of lessons. though i joined the guitar club in college, i was still very much a beginner as compared to the other members there. everybody knows tt practice makes perfect. i have been very lazy. i hated to go through all the tough times as i was learning. i even blamed myself for being slow in learning. but the main problem is my laziness. it makes me don't wanna practice and yet i had hoped tt someday i could play it well. however w/o practice, i'm just building sandcastles in the air. of course, i know such miracles don't happen like tt.

so now, my poor guitar is being abandoned at one corner of my rm. i hope one day i could pick it up and learn everything frm scratch again. i just hope when tt day comes, i won't give up easily, i would be patient enough with myself. and also of course, tt one day i can actually play one full song all by myself.

today's initial plan: gym. initial meeting time: 1045 hrs.
i knew something would happen so i reached at 1100. i waited, waited and waited. no sign of turning up frm laura. when i decided to go home, she called and say her driving lesson just ended. it was almost an hr after the initial meeting time. laura, i want faint liao. nxt time double check your time before agreeing to my meeting time k?
actual plan in the end: lunch, pool then tea break at coffee bean.
pool sucked today. i nv even win a single round.

yesterday was lyly's bdae. well, we went nooch then swenson. kinda sinful. the nooch at citylink wasn't tt bad. the main course was also ok, just tt the appetisers are kinda er...not worth the money. i'm surely going back there again to try the other noodles. it looks nice.

the tea tt lyly had was so nice. i realised i'm kinda into flavored tea nowadays. it seems to interest me and i wanna go round trying the different tea tastes, effect tt it has, tt is if it actually has in the first point.

we were trying an experiment yesterday. if you're in a restn and you 'draw a box' with your fingers at the waiter, guess what would he bring you? the menu or the bill? well, the conclusion tt i have is tt different pple see tt sign differently. if it's me, i would bring the menu to the customer. of course, i'd look at their table too. in some cases, i may bring the bill.

however, yesterday at nooch, we made tt sign to one of the waiter then he brought us the bill. the funny thing is tt, just awhile ago, we just placed our order! probably the food wasn't even being cooked yet in the kitchen. haahaa....kinda amusing when it happened yesterday.

later, lyly's friend, caihong, lyly and i went to have choc fondue at esplanade. well, i didn't eat lar. too full. i just had a drink. it was horrible. it tasted like wine, either red or white, mixed with coco powder or milo. had a really hard time finishing it. but then, it was served in a bottle tt looks like those tt you see in a chem lab. those tt contain dangerous liquids like acid. though the drink sucked, i thought it was presented nicely.

nxt stop, siam kitchen at bugis. not to eat, i went to see a show. it was perry's last day and they're gonna create the water festival tt thais celebrate. i shall not go into the details but at the end, he was totally soaked. he looked as if he just played at the fountain where kids loved to play at.

oh i saw chong qing, the 933 dj, outside church yesterday. he's kinda slim. then at night, at esplanade outdoor performance area, i saw nick shen, the actor. he was performing a song. his voice so nice, he was singing a love song then. wo...love is in the air...haahaa

this wk, half of me is looking forward to work but the other half of me is not.

why look forward? cos i'm gonna be a runner tmr lunchtime. for those who don't know what a runner is, it's someone who brings the food out as customers order. so i'm gonna be walking in and out the kitchen with dishes of orders. it's the first time tt i'm gonna be a runner so i'm looking forward to it. it'll be something new and at least i can learn something else there other than waitressing.

why not look forward? cos i won't be seeing zx for a week or maybe more i guess. kinda sian cos nobody tt i can crap with, nobody to laugh with. if something amuses me and i'm caught by her smiling to myself, she'll say "what are you smiling abt?" sometimes when i'm controlling very hard not to smile and when she asked tt, i'll quickly walk to the kitchen cos i'll start bursting into laughter. and i don't want the customers to think i'm crazy. but i'm sure a wk will pass very fast. besides, i'm only working for 3 days this wk.

i just saw another of xinyan's entry frm australia. wah peng. i wanna go there! don't know when will the chance come. at least i'm certain she's enjoying herself. xinyan, i'm sure you brought your cam there. i wanna see all those pics when you're back k..

redang, tioman. 2 islands i wanna set my foot on. when can i break free frm you and start travelling on my own? sighz.....

i wanna buy velcro shoes. probably frm converse but it's a little ex. any other recommendations anyone?
